October is National Cybersecurity Awareness month and it's the perfect time to raise awareness about the importance of online safety and privacy. We encourage everyone, whether at work, school or at home, to take proactive steps to enhance personal and collective cybersecurity.
Restech is excited to announce that we are a National Cybersecurity Awareness Month champion. We are proud to join a growing global effort to promote the awareness of online safety and privacy.
Held every October, National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) is a collaborative effort between government and industry to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity and to ensure that all Americans have the resources they need to be safer and more secure online. The initiative is co-led by the National Cybersecurity Alliance and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
“Cybersecurity is important to the success of all businesses and organizations. NCSA is proud to have such a strong and active community helping to encourage proactive behavior and prioritize cybersecurity in their organizations,” said Kelvin Coleman, executive director, NCSA.
For businesses, every employee can help prevent malicious cyber-attacks by establishing effective cybersecurity best practices, which include digital and non-digital methods. Cybersecurity is an essential factor to the success of any business or organization and we strongly encourage collaborative efforts across all sectors.
Throughout October, Restech will be sharing resources, information and tips on proactive ways to stay safe online. We are committed to helping organizations with the resources necessary to improve their cybersecurity.
We are hosting a free lunch and learn on October 24 in New Orleans to educate local organizations on the importance of cybersecurity awareness and how it can help protect an organization's assets. Please visit this link for more information and to reserve your seats.

About National Cybersecurity Awareness Month
NCSAM is designed to engage and educate public- and private-sector partners through events and initiatives with the goal of raising awareness about cybersecurity to increase the resiliency of the nation in the event of a cyber incident. Since the Presidential proclamation establishing NCSAM in 2004, the initiative has been formally recognized by Congress, federal, state and local governments and leaders from industry and academia. This united effort is necessary to maintain a cyberspace that is safer and more resilient and remains a source of tremendous opportunity and growth for years to come.
